Garlic is one of the most wondrous foods in the world and one of the main reasons why people in the Mediterranean region live as long as they do despite smoking, drinking and eating a lot of fatty foods. These foods have been found to stimulate production of an antioxidant called glutathione which is fantastic for the liver. In addition to this, garlic also lowers the level of cholesterol total while also enhancing the levels of high density lipoprotein which you may know as the good kind of cholesterol. The latest studies have also shown that garlic may increase the levels of testosterone to an extent, providing you with more energy.
