Important information about your Noble Samurai accounts

Notice of Data Breach

Dear Noble Samurai Community,

We're writing to notify you about an issue that may involve information that you have shared with our company. We value your privacy and, therefore, we want to provide you with details about what happened, what data was involved, and the steps we're taking to protect your information.

What Happened? On August 2, 2020, our automated monitoring service detected unusual activity on our system. We immediately took action to contain the suspicious activity, and launched an internal investigation. We discovered that an unknown third party had breached one of our servers, and that user data was accessed. We wanted to let you know about this incident to help you protect your data.

What Information Was Involved? The data we maintain for our affiliates is generally limited to name, email address, billing address, IP address, hashed passwords, and PayPal email address (but not password). If you use our products the data may also include additional registration emails and hashed passwords. We do not store credit card data on any of our systems.

To date, we have no evidence of any misuse of this data as a result of the incident.

What We Are Doing. We take this event and the security of your information seriously. We have notified the appropriate authorities, and will continue to monitor for suspicious activity. We have also hired third party experts to conduct an independent investigation, and we are updating our infrastructure to make it more secure and reduce the risk of unauthorized access in the future.

We are also planning to delete any personal information that is not specifically required to provide our services. Finally, for your protection, we have automatically reset all passwords on our systems.

What You Should Do. If you log into one of our products or the Noble Samurai account system in the future, you will need to set a new password. If you use your previous passwords for other online accounts, we recommend you change those passwords to protect those accounts as well.
